CULTURAL MARKETING

I hold a Ph D in Marketing, as well as a degree in Administration and Business Management for which I was granted an extraordinary prize. My academic training does not apparently have much to do with the musical sphere, however my intellectual interests have forged a pathway for me in cultural management. In fact, I have a master’s degree in Cultural Services Management and my “hands on” professional path has involved various musical and cultural management entities where the Palau de Les Arts “Reina Sofía” in Valencia stands out.

Furthermore, I am expanding a research area focusing on the marketing of cultural services; this has entailed publishing in high-impact journals as International Journal of Arts Management, Journal of Marketing Management, Tourism Management Perspectives, Journal of Service Theory and Practice or Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly. My Works has been exhibited at national and international congresses, specialised in these areas, as well as in other media and informative formats (books, books, panel discussions, online and offline media etc.).

In this sense, as a specialist in marketing cultural management, I am a PhD Lecturer at Universidad de Valencia. Additionally, I collaborate as a lecturer at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya; I also offer seminars and courses as an expert.

PIANIST

I am a trained pianist. Right from the start, I was convinced that the piano was the instrument that I was going to learn. Indeed, I enjoy it immensely to this day.

My musical career has taken shape mainly as an accompanying pianist and catering for the repertoire of lyrical singers at very many recitals and concerts. Another passion of mine is the world of choral singing, as I participate in a number of choirs. As a choir singer, I have sung all manner of genres: symphonic, a cappella, opera, zarzuela etc; these opportunities have not only enabled me to learn from magnificent directors, but also to observe how singers work and understanding their needs. Voice is the most wonderful instrument that exists, but it is also the most complex. It is indeed a privilege to contribute, with my hands at the keyboard, to enthusing life into the emotions brought to the surface by voice.

And funnily enough, I have also accompanied poets – men and women – with my music; it is precisely through the recited word that they skilfully transmit very different, very diverse sentiments.
